Empowering communities through life-saving education and mentorship

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a SAFE, student-focused teaching and learning environment that fosters global leadership opportunities for a diverse student population. Through teaching, research, service, and creative engagement, HCA empowers leadership through mentoring, life-saving skills (CPR training), volunteering, and youth/seniors athletics within the Greater Houston communities.

Who We Are

The Houston Community Ambassadors (HCA) is a nonprofit organization, started in March 2021 by twelve HBCU alums, that provides mentoring, career development, recruiting, and scholarships for students attending or planning to attend HBCUs from the Greater Houston Area.

Our HCA consists of students, parents, faculty, alumni, and supporters of Historical Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs), who are passionate about saving lives in their respective communities through training programs and sustainability projects.

Our Story

Real-life medical emergencies involving family, friends, colleagues, and community members have motivated our NPO to save lives through CPR training. Our goal is to provide high-quality training in life-saving skills to as many people as possible to increase first responders locally and globally.

Professional Instruction

Our professional CPR instructor has 20+ years of safety and health experience in education and the chemical processing industry (CPI). They are certified by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), and HSI, in addition to holding a Bachelor's of Science degree in Health & Physical Education and an Associate's of Applied Science degree in Process Technology.

Flexible Scheduling

Classes are available Monday–Saturday from 9 AM to 9 PM, depending on your needs and location preferences. We accommodate both individual and group training sessions at your preferred venue.
